The Varsity Recreation Wrestling Team rolled to an impressive victory over Union County foe New Providence on Saturday.
Raymond O’Callaghan ignited the Raider bench with the first of four consecutive pins that set the tone for the dual meet early on. Veterans Brian Musumeci, Brett Magliaro and Jack Donnadio followed with pins of their own and the Raiders never looked back. Later on, middleweight Tanner Johnson gutted out a triple overtime decision and Cory Glinsky earned his eighth victory of the season with an outstanding major decision.
State qualifiers
On Sunday, Rhiannon Accetta and Anthony Donnadio earned trips to the Kids State Championships in March by placing in the top three in their respective weight classes at the North Hunterdon State Qualifier. Accetta gold medalist, and Donnadio bronze medalist, will join their older brothers at the season ending tourney next month.
