Spring Camp – Watch the Farm Wake Up!

Calling All Campers!! Come on out to Fernbrook Farms Education Center for Spring Camp.   This special camp will be held April 13-17, 2009.
From 8:30 am to 4:00 pm, children ages 6 to 11 will participate in tracking and birding activities.   Additional activities include outdoor cooking, wilderness survival, orienteering, crafts, and a campfire. Our farm animals are having babies and our gardens will soon be growing. Guided by experienced staff in groups of no more than ten, all activities help children see the connections that can be made between agriculture, the natural world and themselves.
Larry Kuser, the third generation owner of Fernbrook Farms, says his idea is to use “hands-on experiences to teach visitors environmental stewardship in programs that are innovative, educational and most important of all, fun for people of all ages.” “At Fernbrook Farms kids gain immense confidence because they learn that they can succeed,” said Kuser.
The cost for the week is $210 with additional charges for early drop off and late pick up.  The deadline for registering is Monday, April 6. Hurry – space is limited!
