They are chief financial officer and director of finance

LAMBERTVILLE — The city has hired a new chief financial officer and a director of finance to replace CFO Linda Monteverde, who has resigned.
Ms. Monteverde handed in her resignation April 17 from the job that paid an annual salary of $42,881 and health benefits. She gave no notice, and the resignation was effective immediately.
In the interim, City Clerk Lori Buckelew and Construction Secretary Crystal Lawton filled in, performing any work that needed “immediate attention,” Ms. Buckelew said. Those items included payroll and purchase orders.
Last week, the City Council hired Karen Baldino, of West Amwell, for the newly created position of director of finance. Her salary will be $45,000.
Ms. Baldino retired as the CFO of Robbinsville. Under state pension regulations, she could not again hold the position of CFO. Her job with the city will not come with health benefits or contribute to the public employees’ pension plan, according to Mayor David Del Vecchio.
The council also hired Ronald Ghrist, of Wrightstown, as a part-time CFO at a salary of $7,500 year.
Ms. Baldino and Mr. Ghrist are starting their new jobs this week, unofficially.
Officially, the jobs will begin after the City Council approves an ordinance for their hire during a special meeting June 3 at 6:30 p.m.
The council introduced the ordinance May 18.
In January, Ms. Baldino was appointed to serve on West Amwell Township’s Farmers Market and Township Lands committees.
