MONTY REC SOCCER 
   The Montgomery Township Youth Soccer is now accepting registration for Fall Soccer. The season will begin in September and end in November.
   Registration is available at www.sportsconnex.com/mtys. The league is open to pre-school aged children through eighth grade.
CHARITY GOLF CLASSIC 
   The Sovereign Bank Charity Golf Class will be held at Forsgate Country Club on Oct. 5-6. The PGA Tour’s Rocco Mediate and LPGA’s Natalie Gulbis will be special guests at the event. It is the first appearance for Mediate, who reached a playoff at the 2008 U.S. Open, and the second for Gulbis, a favorite on the women’s tour. In addition, former NFL players Irving Fryar and Otis Anderson will be on hand. Since 2003, the Charity Classic has raised nearly $200,000 for The Forsgate Foundation.
   The event kicks off Oct. 5 with a VIP reception and a live and silent auction. A 2009 Mercedes SLK 300 Hardtop Convertible courtesy of Mercedes Benz of Princeton will be raffled off. Tickets are $100 and include admission to the auction. On Oct. 6, event participants will compete in an 18-hole golf tournament at Forsgate’s Banks Course. At 2 p.m., the general public can attend an hour-long Celebrity Skills Exhibition where Mediate and Gulbis will display their skills, answer questions from the gallery and share their tour experiences. At 3 p.m., the Charity Classic Skins Game begins at Hole 1 with Mediate and Gulbis competing over nine holes for a total purse of $9,000.
   Positions are still available for the 18-hole tournament for $1,000 for individuals and $4,000 for foursomes. For past participants, discounts are available. HOCKEY BEGINNERS 
   The Princeton Youth Hockey Tiger Cubs is a learn to play ice hockey program for beginner players born between the years 2002 and 2005 who are able to stand and skate on the ice. Sessions are on Saturday and Sundays mornings at Baker Rink on the Princeton University Campus.
   The Tiger Cub program will begin on Oct. 3 and run through mid-March, 2010. Registration fees for the season are $900 that can be paid in installments.

PRINCETON SOCCER 
   Openings still exist for several of the Princeton FC Soccer teams. The teams that still need players are for U-11 girls born between 8/1/1998-7/31/1999 and U-17 girls born between 8/1/1992-7/31/1993; U-8 boys born between 8/1/2001-7/31/2002 and U-9 boys born between 8/1/2000-7/31/2001.

MONTY SOCCER 
   Registration has begun for the Fall 2009 season of the Montgomery Travelers Soccer Club’s Youth Development Program (YDP). This program is available to children born between July 1, 1999 and July 31, 1994 regardless of experience.

HOCKEY COACHES 
   Lawrence High School has vacancies for a head ice hockey coach and an assistant for the 2009-10 school year. Interested applicants must have 60 college credits.

ELITE THROWING 
   The Elite Throwing and Development training is geared to help get throwers arms ready for the spring season. The training program can help generate more velocity and greater distance on throws. No matter the sport, no matter the age group, the program is designed to help.
   The program has access to a facility in Hillsborough classes are for both youth and high school athletes.

PSA SOCCER 
   PSA Development Center (Recreational Program) is now open for Fall 2009 season.
   PSA Development Center (Recreational Program) is a recreational program for players ages U-5 to U-15. Our program features small-sided games that result in more playing time, more touches on the ball, and more fun!
   We accept players of all ability levels. There are no tryouts. The PSA Development Center (Recreational Program) will begin on Saturday Sept. 12 and continue each Saturday until Nov. 14th. The program will be held at Community Park.

TURNPIKE LAX 
   Team Turnpike Lacrosse will be offering Fall Elite Lacrosse Training for boys in grades 4-12. The program will run on Sundays from Sept. 27 until Nov. 1 from 6-7:15 p.m. at the Harlingen Fields in Montgomery.

CARNEGIE RUN 
   The 10th annual Carnegie Center 5k and One-Mile Fun Run for Parkinson Alliance will be held Saturday, Sept. 26 at 101 Carnegie Center in West Windsor.
   The Fun Run begins at 9 a.m. and the 5k starts at 9:30 a.m. Race-day registration begins at 7:15 a.m. Awards will be given to the top three male and female finishers and the top three in their age groups. Team entries are also accepted.
   The 5k entry fee is $20 until Sept. 22, and $25 after until race day. The Fun Run is $10 until Sept. 22 and $12 after until race day.
   Timing for the flat course is by Compuscore and Baldasari & Leestma Timers. Long sleeve T-shirts will be given to all participants. Food, refreshments, door prizes, a moon bounce and music are available after the race.
   The race is a USATF Grand Prix event worth 500 points. The net proceeds go to Parkinson Alliance, which raises funds to support research in the fight against Parkinson’s disease.

PG LACROSSE 
   PG Lax (Princeton Girls Lacrosse) is now taking registration for the “Fall Stars 09” fall lacrosse season, which will run for six consecutive Sundays from Sept. 20 through Oct. 25.
   PG Lax is open to all girls in grades 1-8 who will receive excellent training from current PG Lax coaches, all of whom are former college players, current high school players or current high school coaches. All players are welcome and practice will be held on a local Princeton field. Participants will be divided into groups based on grade and playing experience. The 1st/2nd graders will receive basic instruction and fun games, and the other age groups will receive skill training followed by small sided games. Separate goalie training will be held for those interested in that position.
   The groups and practice times are: 1st/2nd Graders, 2-3 p.m.; 3rd/4th Graders, 3:30- 5 p.m.; 5th/6th Graders 3:30-5 p.m.; 5th/6th Goalie Training 2:45-3:30 p.m.; 7th/8th Graders, 2-3:30 p.m.; 7th/8th Goalie Training, 1:15-2 p.m.
   The registration fee is $75. All players need a lacrosse stick, mouth guard, goggles, and must be a US Lacrosse member. PG Lax will provide goalie equipment.

GIRLS ON THE RUN 
   Girls on the Run NJ is a life-changing, experiential learning program for girls in grades 3-5. The program combines training for a 3.1 mile running event with self-esteem enhancing, uplifting workouts. The goal of the program is to encourage positive emotional, social, mental, spiritual and physical development.
   The fall season will launch Saturday and run for 10 consecutive weeks. The Princeton site will meet on Mondays from 3:30-4:45 p.m. and on Saturdays from 9:30-10:45 a.m. at Community Park North (the corner of 206 and Mountain Avenue).

WW-P HOOPS 
   The West Windsor-Plainsboro Basketball Association will be holding open registrations for all of it’s leagues (Grades 3-12) on Tuesday, Sept. 15 and Tuesday, Sept. 22, from 6-8:30 p.m. at the West Windsor Municipal Building – Room A, Clarksville Road, West Windsor.
   Coaches are needed for all age groups, as the commitment is a one hour game on Saturdays, and a one-hour week night practice (grades 5-12), and a 90 minute commitment on Saturdays (grades 3-4). The program is open to any child who wants to play basketball.
