Ballet Arts Opens in Lambertville

Ballet Arts of Lambertville opened its doors in September within the Downtown Performing Arts Center on Mount Hope Street. The school offers classes in classical ballet, pointe, and contemporary dance styles for all ages as well as a special program for young children that includes tap and creative movement.
Owner and director, Janet Mangiaracina, has extensive training and experience as a dance educator, with particular expertise in the Vaganova, or Russian, teaching method and in children’s work. She directed a successful pre professional regional ballet company and school in California’s Bay Area before returning to her home state, and has since worked on the faculty of schools in New York and Pennsylvania, as well as in New Jersey. She taught ballet to preschool through advanced students for four years at Lambertville’s Bach Ballet School, which closed this past June.
