Hillsborough is home to thousands of acres of open space and farmland, much of it preserved thanks to the efforts of Republican county and local leaders. Among those leaders are the incumbent candidates for the Township Committee, Bob Wagner and Carl Suraci, and Somerset County Freeholder incumbent candidate, Jack Ciattarelli, also a Hillsborough resident.
These men were instrumental in the purchase of the 369-acre GSA property, and are working on gathering community input on the type of activities and park development that residents wish to see. Everything, from playing fields for football, baseball, soccer and lacrosse, to family garden plots, to walking and bike trails, to playgrounds and picnic areas, to bird habitat areas, is being considered.
We need leaders like Jack, Bob, and Carl, who have the vision, ability and experience to see a project of this magnitude through to completion, to become an outstanding community asset that will help ensure we keep the quality of life we enjoy in Hillsborough.
I hope you will support Republican Freeholder candidates Jack Ciattarelli and Patrick Scaglione, and Township Committee candidates Carl Suraci and Bob Wagner, on Election Day.
