POLICE BLOTTER: Princeton, Montgomery, W. Windsor, Plainsboro

   Efrain Velez, 48, of Lindenhurst, N.Y., was arrested Friday on an active contempt of court warrant for $112 from the Bayonne City Municipal Court.
   The warrant was discovered after he was pulled over on Bayard Lane for allegedly driving an overweight vehicle on Mercer Street, police said. Mr. Velez was transported to police headquarters, processed and released on bail.
   Chancey Colon, 19, of Somerset, was arrested Friday on an active contempt of court warrant for $120 out of Princeton Township Municipal Court.
   The warrant was discovered after she went to police headquarters to post bail for a friend who had been arrested earlier that night, police said. She was processed and released after posting bail, police said.
   Aleksandr Belenky, 41, of Helmetta, was charged with drunken driving after police responded to a one-vehicle crash Thursday on Hamilton Avenue.
   Mr. Belenky was travelling east on Hamilton Avenue at about 4 p.m. when he veered left across the westbound lane of travel, over the curb, striking a street sign and utility pole, police said.
   Mr. Belenky, who was alone in the vehicle, was extricated from the vehicle by members of the Princeton Fire Department and Princeton First Aid and Rescue Squad, police said.
   He was transported to the emergency room at the University Medical Center at Princeton to be treated for his injuries, which were not life-threatening, police said. He was served his motor vehicle summonses at the hospital and left in care of its staff, police said.
   Stephanie Ford, 43, of Lambert Drive, was charged with drunken driving after police responded to a report of an intoxicated patron at Blue Point Grill on Nov. 8.
   She allegedly drove to the restaurant while intoxicated with her 9-year-old daughter in the vehicle, police said. The daughter was turned over to her father after he arrived at the scene, police said.
   Ms. Ford was transported to police headquarters to be processed, but as a result of her demeanor and an alleged medical condition, she was taken to the University Medical Center at Princeton by the Princeton First Aid & Rescue Squad, police said.
   While in the emergency room, she shoved a doctor treating her, resulting in a charge of harassment, police said.
   Ms. Ford also faces a charge of drunken driving with a minor in the vehicle.
   Howard Becker, 55, of Cherry Hill, was arrested on two outstanding warrants after a traffic stop Nov. 7 on Nassau Street.
   He was pulled over for making an illegal U-turn, police said. During the stop, it was discovered he had active contempt of court warrants out of Southampton Township and Evensham Township municipal courts for $157 and $232, respectively, police said. He was taken to police headquarters, processed and released on bail.
   Jason Scott, 26, of Hamilton, was arrested Nov. 6 after a random license plate inquiry revealed the vehicle’s registration and the owner’s driver’s license were suspended.
   Mr. Scott was arrested for having an active contempt of court warrant for $1,200 from Flemington Municipal Court, police said. He was taken to police headquarters, processed and released pending a new court date.
   Corey-Carlos Ressler, 21, of Hamilton, faces charges after he allegedly presented a forged or stolen prescription blank to CVS Pharmacy on Nassau Street for Oxycodone on Nov. 5.
   He also was found to be in possession of under 50 grams of marijuana and drug paraphernalia during his arrest, police said.
   Mr. Ressler was charged with forgery, criminal attempt/obtaining Oycodone by fraud, receiving stolen property, possession of under 50 grams of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia, police said.
   Bail was set at $25,000 with a 10 percent posting option, police said. He also had an active $3,500 contempt of court warrant from Trenton City Municipal Court.
   He was transported to the Mercer County Corrections Center the next day in default of bail, police said.
   The investigation will be followed up by the detective bureau because Mr. Ressler’s accomplice fled the area after his arrest, police said.
Princeton Township
   Linda Costello, 39, of Morrisville, Pa., was charged with charged with driving while suspended and driving without auto insurance following a traffic stop Wednesday on Alexander Street.
   It also was discovered during the stop she had active warrants for her arrest from Princeton Borough and Trenton, totaling $724, police said. She was arrested, transported to police headquarters and processed. She was later released to Princeton Borough police.
Montgomery
   Marcyann Sosnoski, 68, of Dunellen, was charged with drunken driving after police investigated a suspicious incident Friday on River Road near Route 206.
   Shortly before 10 p.m., a concerned resident called police after observing the driver of a Honda Civic that was pulled over on the side of the road get out of the car, crawl to a wooded area and stagger back, police said.
   Officers on the scene found Ms. Sosnoski sitting on a curb near the car, police said. It was determined she drove to that location, had a flat tire and was intoxicated, police said.
   She was arrested, transported to police headquarters and processed. She is scheduled to appear in municipal court.
   Ryan Fischer, 18, of Franklin Park, N.J., faces drug charges in connection with a traffic stop Nov. 9 on Route 206 at Benjamin Boulevard.
   He was pulled over after an officer observed his inspection sticker was expired, police said. During the stop, the officer detected the odor of marijuana and obtained Mr. Fischer’s consent to search the vehicle, police said.
   Inside the car, the officer found marijuana and a marijuana grinder, police said.
   Mr. Fischer was charged with possession of a controlled and dangerous substance under 50 grams, possession of controlled and dangerous substance paraphernalia, possession of a controlled and dangerous substance in a motor vehicle, driving with an expired inspection sticker and failing to wear a seatbelt, police said. He is scheduled to appear in municipal court.
West Windsor
   David Peters, 20, of Cranbury, was charged with possession of marijuana under 50 grams Thursday, Nov. 12, at 7 p.m., police said.
   While conducting a routine patrol of the Avalon Watch apartment complex, police observed Mr. Peters acting suspiciously inside his vehicle. Upon further investigation, marijuana was seen inside the vehicle. Mr. Peters was released on his own recognizance.
   Amber Beaton, 10, of Richmond, Va., was charged with shoplifting after she allegedly took $150 of health-care products from the Walmart in Nassau Park without paying.
   Kristen A. Buroojy, 19, of Corbett Road, Pennsauken, was charged with shoplifting after she allegedly tried to leave the Walmart in Nassau Park with $51.76 in merchandise without paying.
Plainsboro
   Someone entered and ransacked an Elsie Drive residence between 6:10 and 7:15 p.m. Nov. 12.
   The burglars entered through the rear door, causing $100 in damage, and stole an undetermined amount of jewelry.
   A resident reported receiving a bank statement with three unauthorized purchases between Nov. 2 and Nov. 6 totaling approximately $199.
   Scott J. Diaforli, 29, Philip M. Behrman, 41, and Christopher J. Albert, 21, all of Ravens Crest Drive, were charged with providing alcohol to a minor and making property available for a minor to consume after police responded to the address after receiving an endangered juvenile complaint.
   The men were released on their own recognizance.
   A resident of Salisbury, Md., was taken to the University Medical Center at Princeton following a motor vehicle accident on Route 1 at the College Road ramp.
   Police said the driver lost control of his green 1999 Nissan Pathfinder and spun off the road as he rounded the ramp for College Road West.
   A West Windsor-Plainsboro High School North resident reported a red iPod Nano and a black and silver Olympus Photographer Camera with a total value of $500 were missing from his vehicle, which was parked in the school lot between 7:30 a.m. and 3 p.m. Nov. 11.
   Police and Fire Station 49 put out a fire at Planet Apothecary in the Princeton Forrestal Village at 1:55 p.m. Nov. 9.
   Police said the fire was caused by a lit candle. Damage is estimated at $1,000 and included a section of wall, flooring, two plastic folding tables and various table ornaments. The business was closed and unoccupied at the time.
   A Krebs Road resident reported receiving a telephone call from the credit bureau advising him a bank application was made for a credit card using the victim’s personal information.
   Three unauthorized attempts to purchase products were made between Oct. 30 and Nov. 10. The total amount of the purchases is approximately $4,191.
   Someone stole a hunter green plastic patio table and chair valued at $30 from a Quail Ridge Drive residents between 1 and 3:45 p.m. Nov. 8.
