The Manville Senior Citizens meet at 12:30 p.m. every second Thursday of the month at the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2290 located on Washington Avenue. The club is open to new members who are residents of Manville, age 60 and older, and age 55 if disabled.
Canned goods or non-perishable food items will continue to be collected before each meeting, as well as soup labels. Food donations are needed by the food bank.
Blood pressure screening will be held before the meeting.
The next meeting will be May 13 and Ann Foeri will be selling tickets for the annual picnic on July 18 at the Falcons Camp in Hillsborough. Tickets are $10 for members and guests, and we will be following the same procedure as the previous parties. Tickets will only be sold at the May and June meetings.
Recreation events
Atlantic City: The bus leaves at 9 a.m. from the VFW parking lot on the third Wednesday of each month for Showboat Casino, and the cost is $25. The trip is now open to the public by reservation only make your reservation with Josephine Pschar at the meeting or call her at 908-722-0156.

Manville Senior Center, South Third Avenue, Manville, is open from 10 a.m. 1 p.m. Monday through Friday. Open to anyone older than 60.
Regular activities include, blood pressure screening third Tuesday of each month; exercise every Tuesday and Thursday, 11 a.m.; Mobile Postal Service fourth Tuesday of each month; Bingo Wednesday 11:15 a.m.; birthdays fourth Thursday of each month.
