Events Friday and Saturday
By John Tredrea, Staff Writer
In its 28th year and well-established as one of the biggest draws in this part of the state, Pennington Day continues to grow and diversify.
It’s set for this weekend. Saturday will be the big day, as always.
”We have 152 booths this year, the most ever,” said Pennington Day Chairwoman Heather Wurtz, who lives on East Delaware Avenue.
A mother of three children aged 3 to 10, Ms. Wurtz said: “This is the kind of event my family loves. It’s a lot of work, but it’s worth it.”
New this year will be a children’s pavilion, behind Toll Gate Grammar School on South Main Street at East Curlis Avenue.
”There’ll be a lot there,” Ms. Wurtz said. “A Bounce House, climbing wall, pony ride, arts and crafts, princess party and other things.”
