The 8th annual Run for Dad will be held on Father’s Day, June 20th at Mercer Count Park, in Hamilton, NJ. Registration begins at 7:30 am; the 5k race and 2k walk start at 9:00 am, followed by the kids run. Over 1000 people enjoyed last year’s Run for Dad that includes kids’ games, refreshments, awards and random prize drawings.
Run for Dad is the annual Father’s Day’s race, walk and fun-filled event for the whole family, held in Mercer County Park, to increase awareness about prostate cancer and raise money to support the American Cancer Society’s research, education and screening projects. Prostate cancer is the most common type of cancer found in American men. One in 6 men in the United States will get prostate cancer during his lifetime, but with screenings, early detection and treatment most will survive the disease.
