In Brief Town-wide yard sale slated in Roosevelt The Roosevelt PTA will hold its annual town-wide yard sale from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. May 6-7. In addition to the yard sale, May 6 will also feature the PTA plant sale and the Roosevelt Public School sixth-graders’ bake sale. To help make yard-sale shopping easier, the PTA will provide a detailed map of the location of all yard sales and the types of goods being sold. Crafters sought for annual harvest fest Crafters and vendors are needed for Allentown’s annual Harvest Festival scheduled for Oct. 14-15. Lectures on health to be offered in Millstone Millstone Township Community Education will sponsor a series of lectures on health-related topics presented by CentraState Health Awareness Center at various locations in the Millstone Township School District. "Food Choices and Health Risk Reduction" will be held from 7:30-8:30 p.m. May 4. The lecture will address proper food choices that help guard against disease. "Osteoporosis" will be presented from 1-2 p.m. May 24. The afternoon session will discuss how foods and fiber can promote stronger bones and help prevent injuries.
