Oct. 2 saw another successful Hopewell Harvest Fair. On behalf of the fair’s board of trustees, the Planning Committee, and all of the volunteers who donated their time, thank you! Next year will be the 25th annual Hopewell Harvest Fair and we hope you will be a part of it! Early next year we look for volunteers to chair individual committees, be on the set up and clean-up crews, help sell tickets before and on the day of the fair, and to volunteer with fundraising. Be on the lookout for announcements next spring and come to our planning meetings with your ideas to make the 25th Anniversary of the Harvest Fair the best yet!
The fair could not happen without you or without the help of our dedicated volunteers. There are many folks who put their time and effort into planning this event and helping it come to fruition. Volunteers this year included: Lisa Canzano, Paul Chiaverini, Hugh Connolly, Peggy Connolly, Laura Dempsey, Joann Ennis, Sarah Fuller, Tedi Greenberg-Lang, Roxanne Klett, Duchess Lake, Nancy Lake, Katja Lewis, David MacKinnon, Henry Muentener, Dabby Palmer, Susan Pollara and Janice Schroeder. A huge thank you also goes out to Joe and Cathy Williamson of Williamson Electric and the Hopewell Borough Public Works Department. Without your help, we could not have had a successful fair. A special thank-you also goes to Ruth Luse at the Hopewell Valley News for assisting with our advertising and updates.
We also would like to thank our incredibly generous sponsors who helped fund this effort. Corporate sponsors this year included: Bristol Myers-Squibb, Capital Health, Ortho-McNeill Janssen Pharma, Inc, and Princeton Area Community Foundation. Local Sponsors included: Amboy National Bank, Church & Dwight, Franco’s Pizza, Hunterdon Medical Center, Hopewell Valley Community Bank, Pennington Quality Market, Trap Rock Industries, Union Line Garage, Arts Youniversity, Connolly Architecture, LLC, Daniel Saporito, DMD, Vagnozzi & Associates, Breese Electric, Muentener Builders and Weidel Realtors-Hopewell.
While it is hard to judge just how many people attend the Harvest Fair each year we’ve heard reports that this year was bigger than in years past. Our fundraising efforts showed, as we raised just under $10,000 for our community grants program.
Nonprofit organizations in the Hopewell Valley can apply for small grants funding through the Harvest Fair Community Grant Program. Please pick up your copy of the grant application at the Hopewell Borough Public Library on East Broad Street in Hopewell Borough or by e-mailing us at [email protected]. Grant applications are due to PO Box 421, Hopewell, 08525, by Nov. 5. Announcements will be made the first week of December.
Thank you again to everyone who made this year such a wonderful event! We look forward to seeing you at the planning meetings in the spring.
