Yoga at the library
Friday, Nov. 19 The Plumsted library will offer mat and chair yoga for all ages, children to seniors, from 10 to 11:30 a.m.
Taught by Mary Ellen Suckow, this yoga session is for all levels/abilities and focuses on gaining flexibility. There will be breathing exercises and stretching before the yoga starts. Bring a yoga mat if you prefer to do floor yoga. Wear flat shoes, comfortable clothing and bring water if you want.

Tack auction
Saturday, Nov. 20 A tack auction hosted by the Pineland Riders Pony Cub will be held at the Columbus Grange, 88 Atlantic Ave., Columbus. Preview begins at 1 p.m., auction begins at 2. All new items, English and western, gifts and food.

Holiday bazaar
Sunday, Nov. 21 The Robbinsville Education Foundation will hold its annual holiday bazaar from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Pond Road Middle School, 150 Pond Road. The event will include a craft show, activities for children and student performances. Refreshments will be available.

AHS alumni soccer
Friday, Nov. 26 For the second year in a row, an Allentown High School alumni soccer game is planned for Thanksgiving weekend.
The men’s alumni team will play Coach Andrew Plunkett’s AHS boys varsity soccer team at 1 p.m. The event is being coordinated by varsity team manager Genevieve Finn. Members of past AHS soccer teams can sign up to play by sending an e-mail to [email protected].
Holiday Lighting
Saturday, Dec. 4 Millstone Township Recreation will present its annual Holiday Lighting from 6 to 8 p.m. at the firehouse on Stage Coach Road. The tree lighting will take place outside, so dress appropriately.
There will be musical entertainment, and refreshments will be available. Bring your camera for pictures with Santa.
Millstone Township Recreation also is an official drop site for the Toys for Tots program and will be collecting new, unwrapped toys at the Holiday Lighting festivity.

Tree lighting and gingerbread houses
Saturday, Dec. 4 Plumsted Township Mayor Ron Dancer and the Township Committee, along with Main Street New Egypt, will host the annual tree lighting ceremony for New Egypt’s official Christmas tree at Oakford Lake Park beginning at 6 p.m. The tree was donated by Herb Marinari, owner of Big Woods Nursery.
The New Egypt Volunteer Fire Company and its big red fire engine will make a guest appearance with Santa and Mrs. Claus on board. Free pictures of your child with Santa and Mrs. Claus will be provided.

Immediately after the tree lighting, the Plumsted Township Council for the Arts will host its annual Open House and Gingerbread House Contest. Everyone is welcome to join the council at the Welcome Center at 31 Main St. for a festive night of music, art and refreshments while admiring gingerbread masterpieces.
The evening will include photographs by PTCA member Rebecca Nowalski along with drawings by her daughter. Holiday music will be provided by Gian Torrano Jacobs on the harp.
Families, individuals and local groups are encouraged to enter a gingerbread house in the contest. All decorations must be edible and entries may not exceed 12 x 12 x 12. Houses must be delivered to the Welcome Center between 5:30 and 6:30 p.m. on Dec. 4. Winners will be announced and prizes will be awarded during the open house. You must be present to win. Register by sending your name, phone number and e-mail address to [email protected] by Nov. 27. Participants are encouraged to be creative. Tree lighting
Tuesday, Dec. 7 Robbinsville Township will hold its annual Tree Lighting Celebration at 6:30 p.m. at the Shoppes at Foxmoor on Washington Boulevard.
Celebrate the holiday season with a performance by the Robbinsville High School Choir, a tree-lighting countdown and festive holiday sing-alongs. Warm up with some free hot chocolate and stroll by the Shoppes at Foxmoor for special promotions and giveaways.
