Air Force Airman Nicholas C. Spina graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio.

During the six weeks of training, Spina studied the air force mission, organization, and military customs and courtesies; performed drill and ceremony marches; and received physical training, rifle marksmanship, field training exercises, and special training in human relations.

Spina also earned credits toward an associate degree through the Community College of the Air Force.

A 2003 graduate of Deerfield Beach High School, Fla., Spina is the son of Rudolph Spina of Monmouth Beach and Karin Adams of Pompano Beach, Fla.

Air Force Airman Micah S. Gulley recently graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas.

During the six weeks of training, Gulley studied the air force mission, organization, and military customs and courtesies; performed drill and ceremony marches, and received physical training, rifle marksmanship, field training exercises, and special training in human relations.

Additionally, airmen completing basic training earn credits toward an associate degree through the Community College of the Air Force.

A 2001 graduate of Buena High School, Sierra Vista, Ariz., Gulley is the son of Shirley Russ of Fort Monmouth, and Robert Gulley of Pensacola, Fla.

Army Reserve Pvt. Brohdny B. Ricketts graduated from basic combat training at Fort Knox, Ky.

During the nine-week training, Ricketts received instruction in drill and ceremony, weapons, rifle marksmanship and bayonet training, chemical warfare, field training and tactical exercises, armed and unarmed combat, military courtesy, military justice, physical fitness, first aid, and army history, traditions, and core values.

A 1999 graduate of Shore Regional High School, located in West Long Branch, Ricketts is the son of Annette Hinton of Eatontown.
