The Princeton-based Coalition for Peace Action plans to hold a rally in conjunction with the eighth anniversary of the Iraq War on March 19 from 2 to 3:30 p.m. in Palmer Square in Princeton.
In the event of inclement weather, the rally will take place in the Assembly Room of Nassau Presbyterian Church, across Nassau Street from Palmer Square.
Confirmed speakers to date include: Jesse Hamilton, a fifth generation combat veteran who served as an Army staff sergeant in Iraq from 2005-2006; Patrick G. Eddington, former CIA analyst; the Rev. Muriel Burrows, pastor of Witherspoon Street Presbyterian Church; Jeffrey Laurenti, senior fellow and director of foreign policy programs, Century Foundation; Bill Deckhart, southeastern Pa. coordinator, Coalition for Peace Action; Shaleen Leahey, songwriter and performer; the Rev. Robert Moore, executive director, Coalition for Peace Action.
