Emmy Award Winning Actress Elaine Bromka Presents “As Time Goes BY”

As part of Somerville Branch of the Somerset County Library System’s celebration of National Library Week, on Saturday, April 16, at 2 PM, the SPL and the Friends of the Somerville Public Library will host “As Time Goes By,” a two-person show starring Emmy Award-winning actress, Elaine Bromka and Reathel Bean.
Weaving together readings of various two-person scenes from notable plays, with a sprinkling of short poems and humorous non-fiction excerpts, As Time Goes By offers an hour-long “Ah, I’m beginning to understand it all…” experience. The performers draw on Thornton Wilder, Neil Simon, Garrison Keillor, Erma Bombeck, George Carlin, Nora Ephron, Judith Viorst, Alfred Uhry, Herb Gardner, Willy Russell, Pete Seeger and more – a rich and engaging mix of writers and material.
The library is located at 35 West End Avenue, adjacent to the Borough Hall building in Somerville, NJ. Walk-ins are welcome, but registration is encouraged. To register for this program call the library at (908) 725-1336, ext. 10.
