PRINCETON: Folk Tale Puppets to raise Japan aid

Saturday (April 9) at Princeton University

The Folk Tale Puppets presents a special benefit performance for Japanese relief on Saturday (April 9) from 2 to 3 p.m. in the Black Box Theater at Wilcox Hall, Wilson College, Princeton University.
The puppet show, “Urashima Taro,” is a Japanese folk tale, in which children feel the need to care for animals. The show is performed in English. It features a lot of singing and is especially enjoyable for children.
After the show, volunteers will teach children how to fold a paper crane. These cranes, along with one’s wish for Japanese recovery, will become an artwork through the Million Crane Project organized by the Japanese Students Association at Princeton University.
Saturday’s event is being sponsored by the Japanese Students Association at Princeton University and ippo, a group of individuals dedicated to supporting the Japanese relief effort.
Admission is $5. No pre- registration is required. All proceeds will be donated to Japanese relief.
