Harrisons host Friday fireworks

   This Friday, June 24, Sharon and Preston Harrison, local artists, are scheduled to be the “celebrity guests,” who will host “countdown” activities prior to the beginning of Friday Night Fireworks .
   The Greater New Hope Chamber of Commerce and Lambertville Chamber of Commerce are making Friday nights “even more thrilling with the addition of weekly special ‘celebrity guests’ to host the countdown,” said a spokeswoman.
   Every Friday night at 9:30 p.m., the chambers have designated special guests to initiate the countdown of blasting-off fireworks from the Delaware River. The schedule is as follows:
   July 1 — Marty Moss Coane, NPR host of Radio Times;
   — July 8 — Robert Facchina, CEO, Johanna Farms;
   July 15 — Mira Nakashima, woodworker, and David Rago, “Antiques Roadshow,” and appraiser and auctioneer;
   — July 22 — Mike Fitzpatrick, U.S. congressman;
   — July 29 – Frank Napurano, WDVR Radio;
   — Aug. 5 — Kathy Sledge, Sister Sledge member;
   — Aug. 12 — Robert Hillier, architect;
   — Aug. 19 — Raymond Boccuti, New Hope-Solebury School District superintendent;
   — Aug. 26 — Santore Family, Garden State Fireworks;
   — And Sept. 2 — Larry Keller, mayor of New Hope.
   Friday Night Fireworks kicked-off the second season on May 27 to hundreds of spectators as Pennsylvania state Rep. Bernie O’Neill hosted the first countdown.
   Every Friday night at 9:30 p.m. until Sept. 2, Garden State Fireworks will illuminate the sky over the Delaware River with a 10-minute firework show.
   ”The fireworks are an example of how two communities came together to not only boost the economy in these beautiful river towns, but also enrich local community relations,” said the spokeswoman.
   The summer promotion is 100 percent funded through private donations made from local businesses and residences.
