HILLSBOROUGH: More college graduates share their news

   Zachary Zamek from Hillsborough was one of the 546 students who took part in Franklin & Marshall College’s commencement exercises on May 14 in Lancaster, Pa.
   Mr. Zamek, son of Steven Zamek and Linda Zamek, was awarded a bachelor of arts degree in Spanish. He is a graduate of Hillsborough High School.

   Local residents were among 526 undergraduates awarded 551 degrees graduated May 21 from Lafayette College in Easton, Pa., at the college’s 176th commencement.
   • Clara S. Jeon of Belle Mead graduated with a bachelor of arts in government and law.
   • Anthony David Giralo of Hillsborough graduated magna cum laude, earning a bachelor of arts in history/government and law (double major).
   • Leah Scott Goldberg of Hillsborough graduatedwith a bachelor of arts in history/Spanish (double major).
   • Gabriela Firak of Manville graduated summa cum laude with a bachelor of arts in history and government/law.
   • Cody Charles Sumpter of Neshanic Station graduated cum laude with a bachelor of arts in international affairs.
   • Amanda Rose Spinner of Neshanic Station graduated with a bachelor of arts in international affairs.
   Gwen Ifill, journalist and senior correspondent for PBS NewsHour, was the principal speaker. She was awarded an honorary doctor of journalism degree.

   Two local residents graduated from Centenary College at the 136th spring commencement in Hackettstown.
   Allison Knapp from Belle Mead earned a bachelor of science degree.
   Rolando Figueredo from Neshanic Station received a master of business administration degree.
   Keynote speaker Ruth Arndt Gumpel, a Holocaust survivor, addressed the class of 454 from the three campuses.

   Hillsborough residents were among 344 students from Ithaca (N.Y.) College who received degrees during the college’s commencement ceremony in May.
   • Elizabeth Biglin, daughter of Edwin Biglin and Suzanne Smith, received a degree from the college’s School of Music.
   • Robert Gendimenico, son of Gerard and Eileen Gendimenico, a degree from the School of Health Sciences and Human Performance.
   • Christopher Giblin, son of James and Claire Giblin, a degree from the Roy H. Park School of Communications.
   • Alexandra Leifer, daughter of Paul and Lisa Leifer, a degree from the School of Health Sciences and Human Performance.
   • Lindsay Ricketts, daughter of Scott and Jean Ricketts, a degree from the college’s School of Humanities and Sciences.
