POLICE BLOTTER: Week of July 15

East Windsor
   Daniel Garcia, 26, of Windsor Castle, was arrested for forgery July 6 after an unnamed woman reported that two $80 personal checks had been stolen, forged and cashed. The incident occurred between July 1 and July 6, according to police.
   An investigation of the incident lead police to identifying Mr. Garcia as forger.
   Upon detectives’ arrival at his Windsor Castle address, Mr. Garcia locked himself in a closet and refused to open the door. Then, detectives removed the door from the hinges and Mr. Garcia was arrested for theft, uttering a forged document and obstructing justice, in addition to the forgery charges.
   Bail was set at $5,000. He was subsequently transferred to the Mercer County Detention Center in default of bail.

   Donald Deangelis, 54, of Robbinsville, was arrested for driving while intoxicated southbound on Route 130 10:23 p.m. July 19.
   An officer was dispatched to Mercer Street southbound for a report of an intoxicated driver. Upon the officer’s arrival at the scene, the vehicle had already proceeded southbound onto Route 130 and Mr. Deangelis had been stopped by a Hightstown Borough Police Department unit and held for the East Windsor Township Police Department officer’s arrival. The Hightstown officer reported seeing the Mr. Deangelis operate the vehicle erratically while it was within East Windsor Township.
   The East Windsor officer approached Mr. Deangelis and detected an alcoholic beverage odor. Mr. Deangelis was given field sobriety tests and arrested for DWI, police said.
   He was also charged with reckless driving careless driving, open container of alcohol in motor vehicle, and failure to maintain lane.
   He was later released pending court action.

   A burglary took place at Windsor Regency between 9:15 a.m. and 10:50 a.m. July 12.
   Police said the complainant, who remained unnamed, reported to police that her apartment had been broken into by forced entry through a window. A laptop computer worth $300 was stolen as well as assorted jewelry worth approximately $200, police said.
   The incident is under investigation.
Hightstown
   Officers took custody of Elizabeth Rarich, a 34, of Bolton Road, East Windsor, and charged her with contempt of court at 6:55 p.m. July 7. Ms. Rarich was arrested by the Mercer County Sheriff’s Department on an active warrant issued by Hightstown Borough Municipal Court in the amount of $684.
   Ms. Rarich was turned over to this agency and was found to have an additional warrant issued by Hamilton Township Municipal Court in the amount of $250.
   Ms. Rarich was released upon posting bail.

   Marcos Baculima, 22, of North Main Street, was arrested shortly before noon July 8 and charged him with contempt of court.
   While on patrol, the arresting officer observed Mr. Baculima, who was known to have an active warrant issued by Hightstown Borough Municipal Court. He was arrested at his residence without incident.
   Police said Mr. Baculima had two warrants issued by the court totaling $2,500.
   He was released upon posting bail.

   At 8:12 p.m. July 8, officers responded to a minor motor vehicle accident on Franklin Street.
   During the investigation of the collision, credential checks were conducted of the involved parties resulting in a warrant arrest for Anthony James, 25, of Palmyra, police said.
   He was charged with contempt of court after police discovered that he had active warrant for $1,600 issued by Riverside Township Municipal Court.
   Mr. James was taken into custody and later released to the Riverside Police Department in lieu of bail.

   An unknown person or persons entered onto the property of Lucas Electric, Mercer Street, and stole three reels of copper wire between 8 p.m. July 8 and 9 a.m. July 9.
   The copper wire stolen was of an unknown value, police said.

   Officers arrested Christopher Maxian, 42, of North Academy Street, and charged him with contempt of court at 2:06 p.m. July 9 in the Stockton Street lot.
   While on patrol, the officer saw Mr. Maxian, who was known to have an active warrant issued by Hightstown Borough Municipal Court in the amount of $1,000.
   Mr. Maxian was taken into custody and was also found to have an active warrant issued by Middlesex County Sheriff’s Department in the amount of $15,165.94 for failure to pay child support.
   Mr. Maxian posted bail to Hightstown Borough Municipal Court and was turned over to the Middlesex County Sheriff’s Department in lieu of bail in that matter, police said.

   Officers took custody of Brittany Vatovec, 18, of Manalapan, and charged her with contempt of court at 5:27 p.m. July 11. Previously, Manalapan Township Police Department had arrested Ms. Vatovec for a warrant issued by Hightstown Borough Municipal Court in the amount of $1,000.
   Police said Ms. Vatovec was transported to Mercer County Adult Correction Center in lieu of bail.

   Amy Mazariegos, 19, of Plainsboro, turned herself in to the Hightstown Borough Police Department on a warrant issued by East Windsor Township Municipal Court at 1:23 p.m. July 12.
   Ms. Mazariegos was released upon posting bail in the amount of $250, police said.

   On July 12 at 8:20 p.m., officers responded to a residence on Wyckoff Mills Court for a medical emergency that resulted in the arrest of Brittany Cash, 25, of Wyckoff Mills Court, Hightstown.
   Police said Ms. Cash was charged with possession of marijuana under fifty (50) grams, after ingesting marijuana and having an adverse effect from such.
   While being evaluated Ms. Cash admitted to smoking marijuana earlier and feeling unwell, according to police. She also produced a small baggie of suspected marijuana, showing the officers what she had smoked.
   Ms. Cash was arrested, after refusing medical treatment, and was later released on a summons complaint with pending court action.

   5:51 a.m. July 13, officers arrested Zenon Dionicio, 45, of South Main Street, and charged with contempt of court.
   Officers had responded to Mr. Dionicio’s residence to serve a warrant issued by Hightstown Borough Municipal Court in the amount of $1,500, police said. He was found at his home and taken into custody.
   Mr Dionicio was later released upon posting bail.

   Officers arrested Jose Robles, 50, of Westerlea Arms Apartments, at 6:11 a.m. July 13 at Westerlea Arms Apartments and charged him with contempt of court.
   He was served a warrant issued by Hightstown Borough Municipal Court in the amount of $500.
   Mr. Robles was later released upon posting bail.
