To the editor:
Thanks to the efforts of Assemblyman Conaway, the New Jersey Assembly passed a bill that will establish a health insurance exchange, improving access to affordable healthcare for small businesses and individuals.
As a young New Jerseyan, it’s gratifying to know that whatever career path I am following in the future whether I start my own small business or I work in a large corporation I can make my decision without worrying about finding affordable health insurance.
I, and other individuals who aren’t able to afford insurance by ourselves, will now be a part of a larger pool of individuals and small businesses facing the same problem, and will be able to bargain for a lower premium.
The health insurance exchange will guarantee me access to comprehensive health coverage, regardless of what field I choose to pursue. The exchange is another great example of New Jersey pioneering the path to affordable health care.
