The library is hosting two large book sales. The first will be held on Tuesday, July 26, from noon to 8 p.m. It is an all-day sale with the Kootz rock ‘n roll concert sponsored by the Somerset County Cultural Grant playing music from 7 to 8:30 p.m.
The second will be Tuesday, Aug. 16, from noon to 8 p.m. We have a wide variety from which to choose: children’s, juvenile non-fiction, biography, fiction, non-fiction, mystery, science fiction and more. We also have VHS 3 for $1, hard-cover books for 50 cents, soft-cover 25 cents, or by the bag for $2.
The library will be closed on Saturdays until Sept. 10 for summer hours.
July display: A special thank you to Mr. Joe Kavalesky for the fabulous display of model sport cars.
Free movie nights: On Wednesday, July 20, the film “The Next Three Days,” starring Russell Crowe, will be shown, starting at 5:45 p.m. in the Community Room.
Displays needed: Do you have a hobby or collection that you would like to exhibit in the display case at the entrance to the library? Call Barbara at 908-722-9722.
Gifts for the library: If you have new books, DVDs and CDs that you no longer need, please consider donating them to the library. In addition, monetary contributions are accepted. Your donations are IRS tax deductible. Due to budget cuts, your donations are needed and greatly appreciated. In advance, the library would like to thank everyone for their generosity.

Summer reading program: Held on Mondays from 10:30 to 11:15 a.m. for students entering kindergarten through grade 8. Call the library at 908-722-9722. There will be a magic show on Monday, July 18.
Free outdoor concert: The Kootz, who play acoustic, unplugged and classic rock, will perform Tuesday, July 26, from 7-8:30 p.m. Bring a lawn chair.

Crochet and Knitting Club: Meets Wednesday, July 27, at 6:15 p.m. in the Community Room. Bring your yarn and needles and join us. All are welcome, whether you are a novice or experienced.
Hungry Readers Book Club: The club meets the second Monday of each month from noon to 1 p.m. and the next meeting is Monday, July 11, from noon to 1 p.m. All are welcome. Call Beverly Ball at 908-722-3057 for information.
