Parents beamed as their children smiled and said “cheese” at the YWCA Princeton’s Free Child Safety Day. Each received a free identification kit provided by New York Life Insurance Company of Edison, which included a photo, fingerprints, a physical description of the child, and cards for their wallets. Princeton Borough Police Sgt. Steven Riccitello (above) presented a child safety lecture and showed off his police car to Marco, age 8, and his brother Max Greenberg, age 6, of Community Park School in Princeton and Chiara Oshiro, age 4, of Lawrenceville. Attendees were also invited to view scheduled judo classes and learn basic self-defense techniques.
