Hillsborough Touchdown Club, the high school booster club, celebrated its second annual Family Fun Day on Aug. 30. The club, working with new head football coach Kevin Carty, hosted more than 400 Hillsborough Dukes and Junior Raiders ranging in ages 6 to 13 years old.
After Coach Kevin Carty spoke to youth program players and parents, the youngsters engaged in calisthenics, and passing and blocking drills with the varsity players and varsity coaches. High school football team seniors autographed pictures for youth players and cheerleaders, showing the bond between age groups.
At the end, all in attendance were given free hot dogs and water. The idea behind Family Fun Day is to unite the three programs into one football family and work for the goal of having fun, learning and becoming a team in the push for football excellence.
