FREE Haunted Hayride

By April Sette
Bordentown Twp, NJ – Not many things are FREE these days especially for Haunted Halloween Attractions!   Well thanks to Dave Dietrich and Dean Buhrer, Bordentown residents, now there is!
Millions of dollars are spent on admissions each Halloween season to experience the adrenalin rush from a Haunted Hayride, Cornfield, or House.   Because of Dave & Dean’s initiative last year, Friday, October 14th the community can enjoy a FREE Haunted Hayride.
Going into year two, the one-night Haunted attraction operates on volunteers and donations of goods to make it happen.  Why keep it free?   “When I was growing up, Halloween was my life and now it’s just so expensive, between admissions, food and souvenirs, it’s easy to drop $100 in one night and people just don’t have that kind of money these days.  We wanted to make sure that money wasn’t an issue and give everyone the opportunity to have a Haunted Halloween Hayride experience” stated Dave Dietrich.  “Last year Dean and I just decided to take on the challenge and put the Hayride together.  We managed to pull it off in one month and it was so successful we had to turn people away.”
Thanks to wagon sponsors this year the Wailing Woods has three wagons running and will be able to accommodate more Haunted Hayride lovers.  If you are not a Haunted Hayride lover or have little kids, there are plenty of other activities for everyone!
Thanks to our Sponsors of the event Roma Bank, Boy Scouts of Florence and Bordentown City Public Works.
