RVIN DAVIS, 84, of Freehold died May 6 at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. Born in Hardaway, Ala., he had been a resident of Freehold since 1944. Mr. Davis was a construction laborer for Local No. 176, New Brunswick. He is survived by a sister, Orphenia Fitzpatrick of Englishtown; an uncle, John Adair of the Perrineville section of Millstone; and several nieces and nephews.
HERNANDO MEJIA, 67, of Manchester, died May 22 at home. Born in Quibdo, Colombia, South America, he lived in Brewster, N.Y., before moving to Manchester seven years ago. He was an international banker for Banco Consolidado in New York City, retiring in 1995. He was a U.S Army veteran. He is survived by his wife, Aira; his mother, Josephina of Colombia; a son, Hernando of St. Petersburg, Fla.; two daughters, Veronika Misischia of Manalapan and Dzintra Sosa of Rutherford; four brothers, Ivan, Gonzalo, Eduardo and Mario, all of Colombia; and six grandchildren.
RUBY KEENER, 93, of the Morganville section of Marlboro died May 21 at home. She was born in Bierks, Ark. A graduate of Henderson State Teachers College in Arkansas, she worked as a second-grade teacher in Arkansas before moving to New York City and then to New Jersey, where she was employed at E.R. Squibb in New Brunswick. She was predeceased by her sister and brother-in-law, Opal Keener Long and Andrew Long; and a nephew, U.S Marine Capt. Andrew K. Long. She is survived by a niece; a grandniece; and a grandnephew. Interment of remains will be held in Arkansas, and a local memorial service will be announced at a later time. The Higgins Memorial Home is in charge of arrangements.
