New Millennium Bank Employees Build Gingerbread Displays for Local Charities

By Chrysanthe Longman
New Millennium Bank employees from all departments ‘ and across all three branches ‘teamed up to create some amazing gingerbread scenes. These very creative works were displayed in the main branch [57 Livingston Avenue, New Brunswick] until December 17th, after which many were presented to various local charities.
The gingerbread builders brought in a great variety of [sometimes secret] ‘building supplies’ some purchased in the standard grocery aisle, others the result of targeted candy store expeditions and recommendations from candy experts ‘ kids!
According to the gingerbread builders, the greatest challenge they faced was in keeping the projects and the supplies a secret as the competition grew fierce on the final assembly day. The greatest reward? The sense of community the builders felt within the bank, and with the local communities they serve.
A true community bank, New Millennium Bank values the connection it has with their customers, and appreciates the many ways in which they can participate in and provide support to their community. The bank is currently sponsoring food drives for the United Way and Elijahs Promise, and invites the public to bring a canned or non-perishable item to contribute to neighbors that may be struggling financially this season. Collection boxes are located at all three branches.
With full service branches located in New Brunswick, Somerset and Franklin, New Millennium Bank offers a complete line of business and personal banking products, with 24-hour access to accounts through online banking and several ATMs.
