Hopewell NJ, April 10 , 2012: Hopewell’s own jazz vocalist Wenonah “Nona” Brooks — best-known for her interpretation of jazz standards from Basie, Porter, Monk and Ray Charles – will present “Home Sweet Home, A Jazz Cabaret,” on Sunday, April 29.
The 7:00 pm performance will be held at Off-Broad Street Theatre, 5 S. Greenwood Ave.Hopewell, NJ. Dessert and coffee will be served and guests are invited to bring their own wine or beer.

Ms. Brooks will be backed-up by her jazz trio, Philadelphia piano player Aaron Graves; West Windsor drummer Joe Brown, Jr., and Yardley bassist Matthew Parrish.
Special guest is recording artist Houston Person, who has just released anew album, So Nice, on the HighNote label. Teasing distinctive sassy sounds from his tenor sax, he has recorded with Bill Charlap, Lena Horne, Etta Jones, Lou Rawls, and Horace Silver, among others.
The cabaret will feature familiar songs such as The Folks Who Live on the Hill, and You’d be so Nice to Come Home To. Tatiana Fulmer, the 17-year old granddaughter of Ms. Brooks, will make a special appearance on the program.
Ms. Brooks has sung with jazz greats Stanley Jordan, Shirley Horn, Richie Cole, Denis DiBlasio and Cecil Brooks III. Performing since she was eight years old, she was trained in the tradition of gospel music and recently founded a gospel choir at Trenton Catholic Academy.
