What do you do with an old bureau that you no longer need, but someone else could use?
And why can some things go into the curbside recycling buckets, but others cannot?
Come to a free 90-minute forum on Tuesday, May 8, to learn the ins and outs of recycling and “freecycle.”
The 7:30 pm meeting will be presented by the Hopewell Valley League of Women Voters at the NJ Pure Conference Center at the new Capital Health Medical Center, on Scotch Rd., Hopewell.
Dan Napoleon, with the Mercer Co. recycling program, will answer questions about what should and what should not go into those curbside recycling barrels and why.
Then Jim Lee, from the County Freecycle Network, will explain this grassroots movement of people who are giving – and getting – things for free in their own hometown. Check out www.freecycle.org. This effort is growing quickly and helps keep things out of landfills – especially household items and other things that can be
used by other people.
Members of Hopewell Valley’s Green Team will be on hand and participants will hear 30-second tips on how to “Reduce, Reuse and Recycle”.
