A dominant win and a narrow loss capped the week for the SBHS girls softball team last week.
The team rolled over Woodbridge 20-3 in Friday’s game. With everyone on the team earning a hit. Although Melissa Mielko’s would-be grand slam in the first inning was downsized by the officials to a ground rule double, there was no denying Jacqlyn Harrison’s grand slam in the fourth inning, clearing the fence by a large margin.
The team did not fare as well Saturday, falling 3-1 to Edison.
The only hits for the Vikings in that game came from Jen Resnick, Leeanne Panconi and Melissa Mielko.
