MANVILLE: Making feeders follows talk on birds at center

May is Older American’s Month, and the Manville Senior Center will offer special programs and activities that reinforce the month’s theme of “Never too Old to Play.”
Clients will “play” while exercising the mind and body and while learning a hobby. Attendance points will be given for attending specific programs throughout the month that will qualify attendees for a prize.
The center on South Third Avenue offers food, fellowship and fun.
The Manville Recreation Department leads lightweight exercise on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:15–10:45 a.m., and “walk and chair” exercise on Mondays and Wednesdays, 9:30–10:30 a.m. Exercise classes with Lynn at $10 each run from September to June.
Bingo is played every Wednesday at 11:15 a.m. Birthdays are recognized on the fourth Wednesday of the month.
The center’s hours are 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. Its phone is 908-526-0175.
Meals need to be ordered a day in advance, before 10:30 a.m. The suggested donation is $1.50 for those 60 and older.
For information, contact center manager Lisa Carra at 908-526-0175.
