Fire Prevention week for the fire departments in Montgomery Township will kick off on Sunday October 7th with a fire station open house from 1 to 4 pm at the Montgomery Township Volunteer Fire Department station located on County Route 518 in the Blawenburg area of the township. (Between Burnt Hill Rd and CR 601)
Events include demonstrations of fire and EMS equipment, tours of the apparatus, station and the newly dedicated 9-11 memorial. Kids games, rides in the basket of the only "Bronto" aerial in Somerset county and a special appearance by Sparky the Fire Dog.
Antique and New Fire and EMS units from Montgomery and Rocky Hill Hook and Ladder will be on display.
