Electric power was being restored in Pennington Borough street by street Friday morning, borough Police Director Bill Meytrott said. Most of the borough had been without borough since Monday evening.

"Most areas of town from Brookside Avenue south have power," Mr. Meytrott said. "Areas north and west of Brookside don’t have power yet. They get it from a different leg of the system than the areas south of Brookside. We don’t have any idea yet when the areas north and west of Brookside will get power back."

Located in the northern borough, Brookside Avenue is a short street that runs east-west between North Main Street and Green Street.

There were no injuries reported in Pennington due to the storm, Mr. Meytrott said. "There were no active fires, other than wires and transformers, during the storm, either," he added.

Yet to be cleared away are two fallen trees blocking Sked Street and a tree blocking Baldwin Street.

Mr. Meytrott said that, provided that power has been restored to all of the borough, trick or treating will be held in the borough Monday night, in accordance with the recommendation of Governor Christie.
