CLINTON, N.J. (February 12, 2013) – Debbie Godt has joined Unity Bank as Vice President/SBA Business Development Executive, bringing over 25 years of banking, accounting and finance experience to Unity’s commercial lending program.
Godt previously held business development positions with UPS Capital Business Credit, Temecula Valley Bank, Washington Mutual Bank and Johnson-McClean Technologies. A graduate of Bucknell University, she also worked as a Certified Public Accountant with a big five accounting firm.
“Debbie has excellent business and financial experience, which is valuable to our commercial borrowers,” said Unity Bank President/CEO James A. Hughes. “She works with Unity Bank staff to identify opportunities to provide SBA loans to businesses and then helps borrowers manage the application process. Debbie’s significant background in this area is an asset to our customers.”
Unity Bank participates in the 7(a) Loan Program, SBA’s primary program to help start-up and existing small businesses obtain financing when they might not be eligible for business loans through normal lending channels. The bank also participates in the SBA 504 Loan program, an economic development program that offers small businesses long-term, fixed-rate financing used to acquire fixed assets for expansion or modernization.
