The Allentown Business Commu-nity Association will hold a Spring Festival this year on Main Street in Allentown. The festival will include arts and crafts, food, antique cars, children’s activities, a petting zoo and entertainment. The festival will be held May 15 and 16, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. both days. The Sunrise Senior Living Communities will serve as official sites for National Senior Health and Fitness Day, May 26. Interiors by Decorating Den, a shop-at-home interior decorating franchise, announced that it will open a franchise in Marlboro. Patricia Kelly will open the Marlboro franchise April 26 with a grand opening seminar at 7 p.m. at the Tranquilite Salon & Day Spa, Beacon Hill Shopping Plaza, Morganville section of Marlboro. The free seminar is open to the public and will feature guest speaker Sue Pelley, who has appeared on HGTV. Georgette Keenan, owner of necessities for the heart, a "lifestyle" shop at 28 South Main St. in Allentown, announced the celebration of the shop’s third anniversary as well as the opening of a second location in Point Pleasant Beach. An anniversary celebration — luau-style — is planned for the Allentown location May 8 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., featuring prizes, refreshments, in-store specials and a hula lesson (fellas are welcome, too).

The Point Pleasant Beach location is designed with a different "flavor," with favorites such as Brighton, Anne Koplik jewelry, and Broken China jewelry among new team players such as Hobo International, Jaqua Girls Bath and Spa as well as boutique apparel. Bizmania, now in its fourth year, is a joint effort of nine Chambers of Commerce representing members in the Central New Jersey business community. Bizmania provides restaurants and area businesses with an opportunity to raise their visibility by showcasing their products and services to area business professionals and decision-makers. Last year’s event drew more than 160 restaurant and business exhibitors and more than 2,000 buyers for an evening of networking, food tasting, music and door prizes.
