Woman hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries

A pedestrian was hospitalized with non-life threatening injuries after she was hit by a delivery truck on Route 206 Friday around 12:58 p.m., police said.
The woman, identified as Erika Romero, of Perrineville, was crossing the state highway in front of 958 State Road, police said. Daniel E. Smith, the driver of the delivery truck, allegedly hit her as he was turning left out of a gas station, police said.
Ms. Romero, suffering a broken left wrist and head trauma, was taken by Princeton First Aid and Rescue Squad to Capital Health Systems at Fuld, police said. Mr. Smith, 26, of Plainsboro, is cooperating with authorities and has not been charged so far, police said.
