The Princeton Regional Chamber of Commerce announced Friday that it is asking the Princeton Council to “table” an agreement for the organization to manage one of the Nassau Street kiosk message boards.
Council was due to vote May 13.
The chamber, which would have managed and maintained the kiosk at Nassau and Witherspoon streets, plans to listen to the public feedback it has received and reevaluate its proposed design.
”We are asking for additional time before requesting final approval so we can make adjustments to the medium mix on the kiosk, which we are hopeful will meet all of the community’s needs,” said Peter Crowley, president and CEO of the chamber, in a press release issued Friday.
Councilwoman Jenny Crumiller, opposed to the plan because the chamber-managed kiosk would have included paid advertising. She was joined by two other councilwomen in opposing the idea.
