With Memorial Day marking the unofficial start of summer and outdoor fun, healthy skin and healthy weight maintenance are on many Americans’ minds. To lift awareness for healthy weight and skin issues, including the effects of stress on both, Sam’s Club will host a series of preventive health screenings Saturday, May 11 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 301 Nassau Park Blvd. The screenings are free and available to the public at all Sam’s Club locations with a pharmacy.
The free health screening event features tests valued at up to $150, including:
· Body mass index (BMI) –BMI provides an indicator of body fat and is used to screen for weight categories that may lead to health problems.
· Cortisol – This is the primary stress hormone, which has an effect on many different body systems. This blood test measures cortisol levels produced by the adrenal or pituitary glands and shows how well these glands are working.
· Weight
· Height
· Blood pressure
· Vision
· Upon completion of the health screenings, participants will receive a certificate to pick up a free sample of Align® probiotic supplements at the Sam’s Club Pharmacy.
