Dean’s list
   Charles John Sedor, of Cranbury, was named to the dean’s list for the spring semester at Juniata College in Huntingdon, Pennsylvania.
   The dean’s list recognizes grade point averages of at least 3.6 out of a possible 4.0.
   Jordan W. Reece, of Cranbury, is one of 696 students at the University of Mary Washington in Fredericksburg, Virginia, named to the university’s dean’s list for the spring semester.
   The dean’s list recognizes academic achievement at the university by full-time students who attain at least a 3.5 grade point average on a 4.0 scale.
   The following area residents were named to the dean’s list at Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Connecticut, for the spring semester:
   Victoria Garafalo, of Monroe, Township, and Kristine Wei, of Monroe Township.
   To qualify for the dean’s list, students must have a grade point average of at least 3.5 with no grade lower than C. Full-time students must complete at least 14 credits in a semester with at least 12 credits that have been graded on a letter grade basis to be eligible. Part-time students must complete at least six credits during a semester.
   Frank Bozich, of Cranbury, was named to the dean’s list at James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Virginia, for the spring semester.
   Students on the dean’s list must carry at least 12 graded credit hours and have a grade point average of between 3.5 and 3.899.
   Mr. Bozich is a freshman whose major is history toward a bachelor’s of arts degree.
   Kathleen Ruotolo, of Monroe Township, was named to the dean’s list for the spring semester at the University of New Hampshire in Durham.
   She received highest honors.
   Students named to the dean’s list have earned recognition through superior scholastic performance. Highest honors are awarded to students who get a semester grade point average of 3.85 or better out of a possible 4.0. Students with a 3.65 to 3.84 average are awarded high honors, and students whose grade point average is 3.5 through 3.64 are awarded honors.
   Karl Hoegler, of Monroe Township, was named to the dean’s list for the spring semester at Providence (Rhode Island) College.
   He is a member of the Class of 2014.
   To qualify for the dean’s list, students must achieve at least a 3.55 grade point average with a minimum of 12 credits.
   Margaret Bleach, of Cranbury, was named to the dean’s list for the spring semester at Susquehanna University in Selinsgrove, Pennsylvania.
   The dean’s list recognizes students who achieve a grade point average of 3.4 or higher out of a possible 4.0 for the semester. To qualify, students must complete a minimum of 12 semester hours.
   Ms. Bleach, a recent graduate who majored in business with a marketing emphasis, is a 2009 graduate of Princeton High School and the daughter of Anthony Bleach and Neile Wright.
   Sarah Gibbons, of Monroe Township, was named to the dean’s list for the spring semester at the University of Scranton (Pennsylvania).
   A student must have a grade point average of 3.5 or better with a minimum number of credit hours to make the dean’s list. The list includes students from the Jesuit university’s College of Arts and Sciences, the Kania School of Management, the Panuska College of Professional Studies and the College of Graduate and Continuing Education. More than 1,490 students were named to the spring semester dean’s list.
   Ms. Gibbons is a senior with an occupational therapy major in Scranton’s Panuska College of Professional Studies.
   Cranbury resident Olivia Ziegler was named to the dean’s high honors list at Connecticut College in New London.
   She is a member of the Class of 2015.
   Dean’s honors is a recognition for students who have a grade point average of at least 3.65. Dean’s high honors is a recognition for students who have a grade point average of at least 3.78.
   Local students have been named to the dean’s list for the spring semester at the University of Delaware in Newark.
   They include Amanda Boccardi, of Monroe Township; Juliet Brooks, of Cranbury; Lindsay Chu, of Monroe Township; Jessica Doyle, of Monroe Township; Megan Mitchell, of Cranbury; Catharine Pastor, of Monroe Township; Christina Push, of Monroe Township; Brandon Stewart, of Cranbury; Olivia Welna, of Monroe Township; and Amanda Welsher, of Monroe Township.
   To meet eligibility requirements for the dean’s list, a student must be enrolled full time and have a grade point average of 3.33 or above for the semester.
   Amanda Sudowsky, of Jamesburg, was named to the dean’s list for the spring semester at the University of New Haven in West Haven, Connecticut.
   Full-time undergraduate students must have a 3.50 or better cumulative grade point average for the semester to be eligible for the dean’s list.
   The following students were named to the spring dean’s list at Wake Forest University in Winston Salem, North Carolina:
   Nicole Caricato, and Amalia McDonald, both of Cranbury.
   Students who achieve a 3.4 grade point average and no grade below a C were named to the list.
   Benjamin Wendel, Michael Mahmoud and Samantha Belzer, all of Monroe Township, have been named to the dean’s list for the spring semester at the University of Hartford in West Hartford, Connecticut.
Graduates
   The following local students graduated from Villanova (Pennsylvania) University during a spring commencement ceremony held May 19:
   Clayton Spann, of Cranbury, with a bachelor’s of business administration; Patrick Long, of Cranbury, with a bachelor’s of business administration; and Eve Mizerak, of Monroe Township, with a master’s of business administration.
   Blaine Peluso-Miller, of Monroe Township, is among the May graduates of Delaware Valley College in Doylestown, Pennsylvania.
   Alexander Abeel, of Monroe Township, received a bachelor’s of arts degree in communication studies from Widener University in Chester, Pennsylvania, during the annual commencement May 18.
   Hallie Velloso, of Jamesburg, received a bachelor’s of arts degree from Drew University in Madison, New Jersey, on May 18.
   Tyann Jean Sells, granddaughter of former Cranbury residents Jean and Daniel Bitetti and daughter of Adam and Karen Sells, graduated from Montclair State University on May 21.
   She received a bachelor’s of fine arts degree in filmmaking and graduated magna cum laude.
   Ms. Sells will continue freelance work in the New Jersey and New York City region.

   Jennifer Principe, of Monroe Township, graduated from the University of Rhode Island in Kingston.
   She received a bachelor’s of arts degree in communication studies with a minor in gender and women’s studies.
   Local students graduated from the University of Hartford in West Hartford, Connecticut, during spring commencement weekend May 18-19.
   They include Samantha Belzer, of Monroe Township, with a bachelor’s of science degree, and Benjamin Wendel, of Monroe Township, with a bachelor’s of science degree in business administration.
   Ruo Zhang, of Monroe Township, graduated with a doctor of pharmacy degree from the University of the Sciences in Philadelphia during a ceremony May 22.
   Ms. Zhang is the daughter of Shaoqing Zhang and Chunqiong Zhou.
