PRINCETON AREA: Police blotter

Princeton
A store on the 100 block of Nassau Street reported a group of five white and/or Hispanic men in their mid-20s stole $12,000 worth of rings, cufflinks, bracelets and money clips from its display case on June 6 at 4:25 p.m. Police said details of the theft were caught on the store’s surveillance camera.
Roman Salmoran-Ramirez, 33, of Princeton, was charged with criminal trespass after allegedly forcing his way into a John Street residence as a result of a dispute with one of the residents on June 7 at 9:09 a.m.
Ryan Alessandrini, 27, of Princeton, was charged with possession of heroin, possession of marijuana under 50 grams and possession of a hypodermic syringe at a William Livingston Court residence on June 9 at 7:10 a.m. Police said he also had active warrants out of Princeton, Montgomery and Plainsboro and was taken to the Mercer County jail in Hopewell when he could not post 10 percent of the $5,000 bail.
Rupert Hawes, 49, of Princeton, and Catherine Pietropaolo, 48, of Princeton, were in a car accident on Alexander Street nearing Faculty Road. Ms. Pietropaolo was taken to the Princeton hospital in Plainsboro and Mr. Hawes received a summons for careless driving.
West Windsor
James E. Bragg, 37, of Mansfield, Ohio, was charged with possession of marijuana under 50 grams at the skating rink in the Mercer County Park on June 3 at 10:18 a.m.
A resident of Allentown, 47, reported someone went into her car and stole her driver’s license, bank debit card, Best Buy credit card and Visa gift card while it was parked in the lot at the Zaitz Farm Preserve soccer field sometime between 1 p.m. and 6:45 p.m. on June 6. Approximately $50 worth of items were stolen.
West Windsor Gardens on Trasher Trail reported someone entered an apartment undergoing construction and stole a $350 GE gas dryer sometime between 6 p.m. on June 3 and 7 a.m. on June 4.
The Anthropologie store in MarketFair reported that $2,068 worth of clothing was stolen sometime between 2 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. on June 5.
Martin D. Soaries, 23, of Monmouth Junction, was charged with possession of marijuana under 50 grams and possession of drug paraphernalia after he was pulled over on Route 1 at Alexander Road on June 6 at 1:46 a.m.
Bryan A. Levitt, 18, of Plainsboro, was charged with possession of marijuana under 50 grams after he was pulled over on Penn Lyle Road at Stoneybook Way on June 7 at 2:37 p.m.
A resident of Village Grande reported being scammed after wiring $1,800 to a caller, who allegedly posed as her grandson, requesting bail money to get out of a jail in the Dominican Republic on June 7 at 10:45 a.m. Police said the family found out the grandson was never out of the country or arrested.
Aleksandra G. Gut, 19, of West Windsor, was charged with driving while intoxicated and possession of marijuana under 50 grams after crashing her car on Banff Drive and fleeing the scene to Dunbar Drive near Galston Drive on June 4 at 12:11 a.m. The crash caused a power outage in the neighborhood, prompting PSE&G to respond and fix the live wire scenario. Police said the utility box and another vehicle parked on Banff Drive were heavily damaged during the crash.
Francois James, 51, of Roselle, was charged with driving while intoxicated on Route 1 at Alexander Road on June 8 at 8:13 p.m.

Plainsboro
A resident of Scotts Corner Road reported $10,000 worth of jewelry, an Apple iPad and a Gucci handbag were stolen from the residence sometime between 9 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. Police said there were no signs of forced entry at the residence.
Kelly A. Ward, 51, of Lakewood, was charged with driving while intoxicated for allegedly being under the influence of prescription medications on Route 1 at Mapleton Road on May 22 at 8:06 a.m. She also received summonses for careless driving, reckless driving, failure to stop or yield and delaying traffic.
