HILLSBOROUGH: Police report burglars’ thefts

Car, jewelry, laptop computer said to be taken

   Hillsborough Township police reported burglaries around the beginning of August.
   On Aug. 8, a Manville resident reported his 2000 Honda Civic, left at a business on Falcon Road, stolen some time in the previous week. It is estimated be worth $6,000.
   Township officers responded to an activated burglar alarm at a residence on More Road on Aug. 6. They found the home had been entered and jewelry, with an estimated value of $225, was missing.
   The owner of a Sunnymeade Road business said July 31 he had been burglarized and items were missing. Among the items were an air compressor and copper electrical wire, with a total value of more than $12,000, police said.
   Employees at a business on Route 206 reported July 25 that it had been entered overnight and a laptop computer, cash, paper towels and tissues were taken. Total value of the property was put at $1,000, police said.
   Police said that street signs, valued at $85, were stolen overnight July 18 from the corner of Hillsborough Road and Steeple Drive.
