They schedule activities with rites
Congregation Kehilat Shalom, a Reconstructionist synagogue located at 253 Belle MeadGriggstown Road in Belle Mead, is preparing for the Jewish High Holidays of Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur, the most important of all Jewish holidays.
They commence with the Erev Rosh Hashanah service on Wednesday, Sept. 4, at 7 p.m. CKS invites non-members who may not have a place to observe the holidays.
CKS services are led by Rabbi Susan Falk. There is a children’s service for both Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur and a Tashlikh hike on the first day of Rosh Hashanah. While there is no charge for members or non-members, tickets are required; see the website at www.ksnj.org.

Sept. 4: Erev Rosh Hashanah, 7 p.m.
Sept. 5: Rosh Hashanah first-day service 9:30 am Family Service. 9:30 am Tashlikh hike to Pike Creek (dress for hiking) 4:15 p.m.
Sept. 6: Rosh Hashanah 2nd day Non-Traditional Service 9:30 a.m.
Sept. 13: Kol Nidre service, 6:30 p.m.
Sept. 14: Yom Kippur service, 9:30 a.m. Children’s service, 9:30 a.m. Yizkor service, 1:15 p.m. Alternative Avodah service, 4:45 p.m. Neilah service, 6 p.m. Shofar Blast followed by break the ast at 7:10 p.m.
