A Thomas Street resident reported a theft of tools from his vehicle between 7 a.m. and 11:30 p.m. on Aug. 22.
The suspect(s) removed a Craftsman sander, motion detectors and a bucket containing various wood working tools valued at $190.
Police arrested Diane D. Rothschild, 55, of Plainsboro, on Route 33 at 12:25 a.m. Aug. 23.
While on patrol the officer observed a red Jeep travelling in the area of Twin Rivers Drive and Nettelton Drive without its headlights on. As the officer followed the vehicle onto Nettelton Drive the vehicle left the roadway traveling over the grass towards Abbington Drive.
The officer attempted to stop the vehicle, but the driver continued travelling east on Route 33. The driver eventually stopped in Howell Township and was taken into custody without further incident.
Ms. Rothschild is charged with eluding, speeding, disorderly conduct, failure to maintain a lane, reckless driving, failure to signal, careless driving, operating a motor vehicle on private property to avoid traffic control devices, leaving the scene of an accident, failure to report an accident and failure to yield to an emergency vehicle.
Police arrested Lucio Urbano, of Dorchester Drive, 48, on Dutch Neck Road at 12:43 a.m. on Aug. 25.
While on patrol the officer observed a black Isuzu being operated erratically. The vehicle was stopped in the area of Dutch Neck Road and Oakmont Terrace. While speaking with driver, the officer noticed the driver’s eyes were bloodshot and watery. The officer also smelled the odor of an alcoholic beverage from within the vehicle. The driver was given field sobriety tests and arrested for drunken driving.
Mr. Urbano was also charged with failure to maintain a lane, careless driving, reckless driving, failure to wear a seatbelt, driving while suspended, failure to exhibit registration, driving an uninsured vehicle, having a loud muffler and having an open container of alcohol in a motor vehicle.
The driver was later released pending court action.
Police arrested Kevin W. Quigley, of Keswick Road, 50, and charged him with drunken driving, failure to maintain a lane, reckless driving and careless driving on Sussex Lane at 2:10 a.m. on Aug. 26.
While on patrol the officer observed a red Toyota being operated erratically. After stopping the vehicle on Sussex Lane the officer smelled the odor of an alcoholic beverage. The driver was given field sobriety tests and arrested for drunken driving.
The driver was later released pending court action.
Police arrested Gene T. Nelson, 37, of Edison, at the CVS on Route 130 at 12:14 p.m. on Aug. 26. Officers went to the store for a report of theft. The investigation revealed that a construction contractor hired by CVS had his computer stolen. The suspect was a CVS employee that was also hired for construction purposes. The suspect was arrested and later released pending court action. The computer was returned to the owner.
