The Powerhouse Gym and Fitness Center of Hamilton will host a Thanksgiving food drive to benefit the Mercer Street Friends Food Bank on Sunday, Nov. 17.

HAMITLON — The Powerhouse Gym and Fitness Center of Hamilton will host a Thanksgiving food drive to benefit the Mercer Street Friends Food Bank on Sunday, Nov. 17.
The drive will be held in concert with a full day of fun-filled activities for the community from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the gym and fitness center located at 127 Route 206 south in Hamilton.
With the Thanksgiving holiday approaching, Powerhouse Gym is asking to their members to bring non-perishable food during November for donation to the Mercer Street Friends Food Bank.
In addition to the food collection, the gym will waive the initiation fee for any new members who sign up on this day. They will also donate all the first month’s fees to the Food Bank and make a 100 percent company match contribution as well.
The day’s activities will include family fitness activities, aerobic class demonstrations, live music, free food and beverages and more.
”Our membership continues to increase and we want to give something back to the community to express our appreciation and demonstrate our commitment to supporting local charities,” said managing partner Romeo Tendencia.
The Powerhouse organization will continue to participate in community enrichment activities in Mercer County. As Powerhouse Gym of Hamilton grows, they will continue to develop and support a variety of community projects with Mercer Street Friends.
Powerhouse Gym offers 40 weekly aerobics and fitness classes from its 18,000 square foot recently renovated facility.
