A lecture titled “Peeking Over the Wall of Separation Between Church and State” will be presented by Milton Heumann, Ph.D. of Rutgers University on Sunday, Oct. 24, at 11 a.m. at the Jewish Community Center of Middlesex County, 1775 Oak Tree Road, Edison.
Dr. Heumann will discuss the dilemma of honoring the First Amendment of the U.S. Constitution separating church and state and accommodating individual religious practice in the public sector. He will offer competing theories and present cases that illustrate many diverse understandings.
