To the editor:
On behalf of the Tree Lighting Committee, we would like to thank everyone who helped to make the Bordentown City tree lighting celebration a huge success.
First, thank you to all of the people who helped us plan and execute this event: Mayor Joe Malone, Deputy Mayor Jimmy Lynch, Commissioner Ziggy Targonski, Under the Moon Café, Square Peg Round Hole Gallery, The Bordentown City Police, The Bordentown City Public Works, The Bordentown Historical Society, Suzanne Wheelock, Consolidated Fire Company, The Vault Pizza, The Bordentown Christmas Band, Eric Richardson, Silvina Orosco, Estella Orosco, Annemarie Greiner, Kaylee White, Jess Ridolfino and Lora McQueen.
Months of planning coupled with a last minute dash resulted in a great evening.Thank you to Bordentown City and Bordentown Home for Funerals for their generous donations that made this event possible.
A great big round of applause to Chesterfield Tree Farm for donating the beautiful 35 foot tall tree, the biggest Bordentown has ever had.
A special thank you to the roughly one thousand spectators who came out to watch us light our magnificent tree. We are so glad you came and enjoyed a wonderful night of that special thing that makes Bordentown such a great place to live.
And special thanks for Santa and his magic Christmas dust … without you our tree would not have been lit.
We all hope you have a very Merry Christmas and Prosperous New Year to come.
