The NJ State Library has announced the speakers in its popular Author Talk Series for March. All author talks are free and open to the public and are held in the State Library’s 2nd floor Reading Room, 185 West State St., Trenton, from noon to 1 p.m.
March will feature two talks celebrating St. Patrick’s Day and Women’s History Month. On March 12, Professor Thomas Callahan, Jr., will tell of his desire to come to know two generations of his family; how the individual portraits of family members may be viewed in the context of history; and the challenges facing those who wish to research their own family members.
On March 26, Martha Washington will recount tales about her eight years as the U.S.A.’s first First Lady, and dishes out some “dirt” on some of the others, as well. Maggie Worsdale, a jazz singer and entertainer with the Traveling Literary Theater, dresses the part of Martha Washington for this entertaining presentation.
All are welcome; RSVP is appreciated. Contact Cindy Warrick at [email protected] or 609-278-2640 ext. 172.
