POLICE BLOTTER: Feb. 20

Bordentown City
   Police arrested a panhandler after officers discovered the man had a warrant from Lawrence Township on Feb. 10.
   According to police, they were sent to Prince Street on a report of a man panhandling for money. Police found the man, who was not identified, at the NJ Transit Light Rail platform.
   Police said he was turned over to Lawrence Township and was taken to the Mercer County Workhouse.
Florence
   Police charged Denise Starling, 41, of Freehold, for narcotics possession Feb. 4.
   According to police, they searched a car occupied by Ms. Starling at the Hapco Gas lot, and a drug dog from Bordentown Township “hit” on several areas of the car.
   Ms. Starling was charged with two counts of possession of a controlled dangerous substance, two counts of drug paraphernalia possession, possession of drugs in a motor vehicle and a local ordinance violation.
   Police said she was taken to Burlington County Jail in lieu of $10,000 bail.
   Feb. 6, police charged Troy Mitchell, 53, of Atlantic City, with hindering arrest.
   According to police, they found Mr. Mitchell walking down the middle of the road at 1:47 a.m. When approached, Mr. Mitchell allegedly gave false names and date of births, according to authorities.
   After police learned his identity, Mr. Mitchell was charged and taken to Burlington County Jail in lieu of $500 bail.
   Police charged Dylan Martin, 21, of Roebling, for possession of a controlled dangerous substance Feb. 7.
   According to police, the substance was discovered during a motor vehicle stop on Maple Avenue.
   Mr. Martin also was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of drugs in a motor vehicle.
   He was released without bail.
   Feb. 9, police and the Fire Department responded to a fire on Kings Court.
   According to police, a fire found in the living room spread rapidly, and although firefighters worked for more than an hour, the fire damaged the entire dwelling, rendering it uninhabitable.
   Police said the fire marshal and the Florence Township police Fire Investigation Team determined the fire was suspicious in nature although an investigation is ongoing.
   There was a minor injury to a firefighter who was treated and released.
   Police arrested Kevin B. Holak, 34, of Burlington, after learning he was a fugitive from authorities in Pennsylvania.
   According to police, Mr. Holak was identified as a passenger in a car involved in a minor collision in the parking lot of the Wawa on Route 130.
   Another passenger, Michelle L. Longley, 43, of Roebling, was charged for hindering apprehension after she supplied a false name, police said.
   Ms. Longley was released without bail.
   Mr. Holak was taken to the Burlington County Jail where he was charged with being a fugitive from justice.
Mansfield
   Geetha Seshadri, 57, of Columbus, was charged with leaving the scene of a motor vehicle crash Feb. 6.
   According to police, Ms. Seshradri struck another vehicle in the Columbus post office parking lot. Someone came to the aid of the driver whose car was struck and recorded the registration and a description of Ms. Seshradri’s car.
   A little later, police stopped her on Route 206, according to police. Ms. Seshradri also was charged with failure to report a motor vehicle crash.
