HILLSBOROUGH: Democratic Alliance to back Beggiato and Le

No sign Democrats will avoid primary contest

John Beggiato and Thuy Anh Le introduced their campaign to the Hillsborough Democratic Alliance on March 5, and were unanimously endorsed by the group.
The pair outlined their personal backgrounds, and their experience working as volunteers in the community in sports, education, the environment, other community organizations and township government. They described running for Township Committee as an extension of what they have been doing in Hillsborough for the past number of years in terms of serving the community, and asked for the endorsement and the support of the HDA.
As of now, they appear to be running against Arthur Skaar and Justin Storipan, two candidates who have been endorsed by the local party organization. The primary is on June 3.
On March 9, Alliance members Dale Gordon and Suzanne Ochse hosted a Politics Potluck to about 30 attendees. In addition to Mr. Beggiato and Ms. Le, Clinton Town Mayor Janice Kovach, who is seeking the Democratic nomination for Congress, attended. The food and conversation were terrific, and supporters signed on to work for both the local and Congressional campaigns.
