Driver charged with reckless driving in accident Saturday on South Main Street
A Hillsborough woman has been charged with reckless driving in a pedestrian accident Saturday in which a mother and her three-year-old child were struck and injured by a vehicle while they were crossing South Main Street.
The two, whom police declined to identify, were struck at about 4 p.m. Saturday while they were crossing South Main Street near the intersection with South Street.
Driver Annette Tomczyk, 62, of Hillsborough, was issued a summons for reckless driving.
The woman and her child were both taken to Somerset Medical Center for their injuries. The child was treated and released but the woman remains hospitalized as of Monday in unknown condition.
